David Zechel is a co-applicant on the recently awarded NSERC CREATE grant entitled Plastic Affordance through Science and Technology Innovation for Circular Solutions (PLASTICS). The PLASTICS program, led by James McLellan from Queen’s Chemical Engineering, will develop research and training programs to train 70 HQP over 6 years with cutting edge technical, translational, business, and leadership skills for the clean (bio)tech workforce. In addition to the $1.65 million funding from NSERC, this program will receive over $2.1 million from the participating institutions and industrial partners as both cash and in-kind.
