Dr. Farnaz Heidar-Zadeh has received $250,000 through the Government of Canada’s New Frontiers in Research Fund – Exploration program to advance innovative cancer treatment research. Her work combines quantum simulations, machine learning, and emerging automated technologies to accelerate the development of gold nanoclusters designed to target tumours that are resistant to conventional therapies. This research aims to support the next generation of precision oncology by developing safer, more targeted treatment approaches.
