Chemistry researchers at Queen’s are celebrating more than $1.35 million in new NSERC funding through the 2026 Discovery Research and Research Tools and Instruments programs.
Cathleen Crudden received a $575,000 Discovery Grant and an additional $145,644 for research infrastructure. Gang Wu received $295,000 to develop new NMR methods for biological systems, while Taleana Huff received $175,000 to advance research on carbon-based coatings. Zhe She received $149,807 to support high-throughput electrochemical research, and Huff also received a $12,500 Discovery Launch Supplement.
These awards support innovative research across the department while strengthening our research infrastructure and opportunities for student training.
