The Stuttgart-Queen's Dual Master's Degree Program enables students from both Queen's and Stuttgart the opportunity to acquire a Master of Science - Chemistry degree from Queen's and a Master of Science - Chemie degree from Stuttgart simultaneously. The program is divided into stages, and is to be completed in two (2) years.
Each university may send up to five (5) students to be enrolled on a full-time basis at the other institution. Students will be nominated based on academic merit, past work and extracurricular experiences, as well as a demonstration of strong motivation to participate in the program.
Student's interested in participating in the Dual Master's Degree Program should contact their home institution's Chemistry/Chemie department.

First Year at Queen's
Application Process:

Tuition and Fees:
- Required to pay regular tuition fees at Queen's for duration of program
- Required to pay student fees for the first year at Queen's
Course Requirements:
- CHEM 801 Safety in the Laboratory
- CHEM 802 Chemistry Seminar Program
- CHEM 803 Principles of Scientific Communication
- Six elective modules
Second Year at Stuttgart
Application Process:
- Must be nominated by the Department of Chemistry at Queen's University
- Must register for the exchange program via Mobility Online platform of the University of Stuttgart
- Must apply for admission via the online application platform (C@MPUS) of the University of Stuttgart
- Must apply for a residence permit for studying after arriving in Stuttgart
Tuition and Fees:
- Exempt from student fees at Queen's by completing a Full Time Off Campus Request Form
- Exempt from paying tuition fees at the University of Stuttgart
- Must enroll in a Germany-based health insurance plan upon arrival to Stuttgart
Course Requirements:
- One elective chemistry course
- Two research labs
- Final thesis project
Thesis:
- Final thesis will be produced in English and defended at Stuttgart following Stuttgart's and Queen's regulations
First Year at Stuttgart

- Once accepted apply for a study permit
Tuition and Fees:
- Exempt from paying tuition fees at Queen's University
- Must enroll in the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) for all terms spent at Queen's
- Students are responsible for all costs associated with his/her books, travel, transportation, accommodation and living expenses while Queen's
- Students may apply for Teaching Assistantships in the Department of Chemistry to help cover costs
