Poster Award at the CSC Conference | June 1, 2010

Ryan Irving won the 3rd place prize in the Analytical Division poster competition at the 93rd Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition in Toronto. Well done, Ryan!

Oleschuk part of Queen's group awarded an NSERC CREATE grant | April 9, 2010

Dr. Oleschuk was one of 10 Queen's researchers in a group led by Dr. Cathy Crudden to receive a grant from the Collaborative REsearch And Training Experience program at NSERC. The grant is worth $1.59 million over the next 6 years and will focus on the development of novel chiral materials. A mandate of the CREATE program is to strengthen international collaborations and train personnel.  

Embedded Systems Canada (emSysCan) receives a CFI grant | March 2010

Dr. Oleschuk is part of the emSysCan group led by Ian McWalter of CMC Microsystems that recently received a grant from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI) for the development of microsystems. The contribution to Queen's will be in the form of a $1.7 million facility for the rapid prototyping of microdevices, including microfluidic lab-on-a-chip devices.

Oleschuk featured in Queen's Gazette | May 11, 2009

In the May 11, 2009 issue of the Queen's Gazette, Dr. Oleschuk was featured in an article entitled Promoting innovation in the here and now. The article discusses the O Group's success of their Multi-Channel Nanoelectrospray Emitter. This is a device that is starting to be used in labs around the world. [Full text (pdf), see page 6]
