Sean will receive his award at the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Awards Ceremony to be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the 3:00 p.m. at U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Headquarters, Ariel Rios South Building in Washington, DC.

Dr. Jessop met with Members of Parliament, senators and scientists in Ottawa to talk about Green Chemistry and how it can be beneficial to both the environment, and the bottom line. He was invited as part of the monthly Bacon and Eggheads breakfast series that allows these parliamentarians to have breakfast while leaning a bit of science from a Canadian researcher [Ottawa Citzen Article].

Two Jessop Group Members Win at International Polymer Colloids Group Conference

July 4, 2011

Candace Fowler, an M.Sc. student in the Jessop group was awarded with the Best Lecture Award for the Graduate Student Seminar at the International Polymer Colloids Group (IPCG) Conference at the University of New Hampshire in June 2011. Her talk was entitled "Emulsion Polymerization Using Switchable Surfactants." Dr. Su Xin was also awarded the Best Poster Prize for his poster entitled "Redispersible Polymer Latexes Based on CO2 Switchable Amidine Chemistry."
