Welcome

Hey,                                                         My name's Andrew Fraser, and I'm a doctoral student here in the Baird Lab. I'm originally from the city of good lobster and good beer, or more specifically, Halifax, NS. I joined the group in 2007 after completing my B.Sc at Bishop's University in Lennoxville, QC, where I had the chance to work with Dr. Dale Wood, looking into possible methods of nitrile polymerization.

My research in the Baird lab involves the utilization of the compound Pd(h³-1-PhC₃H₄)(h⁵-C₅H₅) as a catalyst precursor for Suzuki-Miyaura, Heck and other important cross-coupling reactions. See Mike's home page for further details.  

When not slaving away in the lab, I enjoy reading, listening to music, living and breathing anything associated with the Montreal Canadiens, and enjoying the occasional pint at the Grad Club. If you have any questions at all, feel free to drop me an email.
