- For the sake of efficiency, only the 5-digit campus extensions are
listed here. All campus extensions start with either 3 or 7.
- Extensions starting with 3 are directly accessible from off
campus by adding 53 in front of the five digits to make the seven
digit external number. For example, an internal extension of
31234 is reachable from off campus using the number 533-1234.
- If you are dialing from outside the
Kingston area, you will also need to add 1-613 in front of the
number, i.e., 1-613-533-1234.
- If you are dialing from overseas, you
will need to dial the country code for Canada (001) and then the
area code and number, i.e., 001-613-533-1234.
- Extensions starting with 7 are not direct external lines and
require that you dial the main access number 533-6000, followed by
the 5-digit extension when the answering system requests it.
Thus, an internal extension of, for example, 71234 is
reachable using the number 533-6000 x71234.
- If you are dialing from outside the
Kingston area, you will need to add 1-613 in front of the number
(ie. 1-613-533-6000 x71234)
- If you are dialing from overseas, you
will need to dial the country code for Canada (001) and then the
area code and number, i.e., 001-613-533-6000 x71234.
- As of June, 2006, the 613 area code MUST
be included with all phone numbers so that even for local
off-campus callers, our number is 613-533-2612. The 613 is
no longer optional.
