(BOS 2002) June 23 - 27, 2002

Schedule      The schedule page has now been updated with new information.

Transportation    Participants arriving by air are welcome to use transportation provided by BOS2002/Konsema at the airport on Sunday, June 23, from 11am till 3:30 pm.  Please note:  registration will not be conducted at the airport, contrary to previous communications.

Registration: The on-site registration will be opened on Sunday, June 23, from 11am till 4:30 pm at the Tolerance center (Naugarduko str. 10) and later at the welcome reception at Chodkeviciu Palace of the National museum, address Didzioji street 4. The late registration will be held at the Tolerance center on Monday, June 24, starting at noon.  Badges and conference bags will be distributed at these times.

Meals:                   Lunches are included into the registration fee and will be served at the café PicaTop40 (address Pylimo str. 15) near the Tolerance center. Please use the tickets included into your bags and wear your badges. Coffee breaks will be held each day during the morning and afternoon sessions. Early morning coffee will be served at 8:00.

Lectures:              The program will consist of full-length plenary lectures (PL, 60 min) and invited lectures (INV, 30 min).

Poster sessions: Three Poster sessions are provided Monday through Wednesday. Poster authors should set up posters in the morning, except on the first day when set up will be after arrival to the Tolerance center. Poster boards are identified by number accordingly to the numbering in the booklet. The available area for each poster is 100 cm wide by 140 cm high. Please remove posters by the end of the day. Four poster presenters will receive the Thieme Verlag awards on the basis of evaluation of the scientific committee.

Excursion &
Closing Banquet

Excursion to the Trakai castle (buses will leave from the Tolerance center at 15:00).

19:00-22.30 Closing banquet at the restaurant "At the Mill" in Stirniai. Buses will transport attendees from Trakai to the restaurant. A selection of Lithuanian and oriental food will be available in a Lithuanian countryside setting (inside in case of inclement weather). Note: the sauna will be available, a bathing suit is required and please bring along a towel. Buses will begin to ferry attendees home from 22:00 through 23:00.
