guest lecturers | We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jeanne Crassous will be visiting us in late November 2013.  Dr. Crassous currently teaches at Université de Rennes. She has written a number of books on chirality. We are looking forward to hosting her!

Summer Series

 

Spring 2013 |We're currently working on a two-day mini series, scheduled to run July 22nd and 23rd. Students participating in the CREATE program will have the chance to present their work, as will the Queen's faculty collaborators. We're also expecting some visiting collaborators from both the education and industry sectors. Stay tuned for more details of this great event!

Dr. Jaerrendahl's visit

 

March 2013 | Dr. Kenneth Järrendahl's visit has been a great success! Students in his classes were able to apply his the information in his lectures to their own work, and we look forward to future partnerships with him and his group. We have been very pleased to host Kenneth as our final lecturer of this current academic year!

Program Committee

December 2012 | We are pleased to announce some major changes in the Program Committee. New members include chair Dr. Adi Treasurywala of ArrowCan Partners Inc., Dr. Erich Grimm of Pharmaron, Dr. Lynn Leger from Green Centre Canada, and Dr. Lucy Su from Parteq Innovations. We're looking forward to working with all of our Program Committee members to make the CREATE program the best that it can be.

update on Dr. Batail's visit

December 2012 | We have just received confirmation that Dr. Batail will be visiting Queen's from February 24th to March 6th. Please check back in the new year for more information on seminar and course times.

Dr. Sawamoto's visit

October 2012 | We had the honour of hosting Dr. Mitsuo Sawamoto for 10 days in late September and into October. The students learned a lot from Dr. Sawamoto, and were able to spend a lovely afternoon showing him around the 1000 Islands region. Dr. Sawamoto was also able to meet with many Queen's faculty, including Vice-Principal (Research), Dr. Steven Liss. Check out the Queen's news release about his visit here. It was a great start to our 2012-2013 year!

Research Agreement with Toyota R&D

September 2012 | One of our students has recently begun a three-month placement with Toyota R&D in Aichi, Japan. This is the first industry partnership in the CREATE program, and we are very happy to be able to partner with such a renowned company. We wish Lacey good luck in Japan!
