SAFETY
Chem212 experiments may involve the handling of complex instruments and
potentially hazardous materials. Hence, basic safety rules must be
strictly followed. Lab goggles must be worn at all times in the lab, and
contact lenses are not permitted. All long hair should be tied back, and
students should wear long pants and closed shoes (no sandals). Lab coats
are mandatory. Anyone failing to conform to these
simple precautions, or behaving in any way that would endanger others
will be asked to leave.
