CHEM 212 is an introductory course to the chemical kinetics and mechanisms of reactions in gaseous and condensed phases, including acid-base and nucleophilic substitution reactions at carbon and other main group centers. Other topics will include molecular dynamics and reactions in solution. The laboratory illustrates measurement techniques and develops laboratory skills.
