The Department of Chemistry can be found in Chernoff Hall (63) directly across from Victoria Hall, the X-shaped residence (46). There are two entrances to the building: the main entrance on Bader Lane and the back entrance on Stuart Street. Note that the main entrance is on the second floor while the back entrance is on the first floor.

Getting to Kingston

From Toronto
By Airplane: Air Canada flies directly to Kingston () via Toronto Pearson Int'l Airport (YYZ) but there are only 5 or 6 flights per day (fewer on Saturdays) and these fill up quickly, so book early.
 
By Bus: Coach Canada operates bus connections between Toronto Pearson Int'l Airport (YYZ) and Kingston and also from Toronto downtown (Bay/Dundas bus terminal) to Kingston.
 
By Car: It takes approximately 2 hours 40 minutes (about 260 km) to drive from Toronto to Kingston. There are six on-site car rental agencies at Pearson Int'l Airport (YYZ). Directions - East on Highway 401.
 
By Train: The train, operated by Via Rail, departs from Union Station in downtown Toronto multiple times per day. Toronto Airport Express offers a shuttle departing every 40 minutes from the Pearson Airport Monday through Friday and hourly on Saturday and Sundays (Note: this service will no longer be available as of November 1, 2014).
From Montreal
By Bus: Greyhound Canada operates bus connections between Montreal P. E. Trudeau Int'l Airport (YUL) and Kingston. Times are limited.
 
By Car: It takes approximately 3 hours (about 290 km) to drive from Montreal to Kingston. There are eight on-site car rental agencies at Trudeau Int'l Airport (YUL). Directions - West on Autoroute 720, then west on Autoroute 20, then west on Ontario's Highway 401.
 
By Train: The train, operated by Via Rail, departs from Central Station and Dorval Station multiple times per day. A free minibus service is available between Montreal "P. E. Trudeau" Airport (YUL) and the Dorval Station departing at regular intervals (every 20 to 30 minutes).
From Ottawa
By Bus: Greyhound Canada operates bus connections between Ottawa Central Station and Kingston. Times are limited. There is no free direct service to  Station from the Ottawa Airport, you can take a taxi or OC Transpo (public transit)
 
By Car: It takes approximately 2 hours (about 200 km) to drive from Ottawa to Kingston. There are six on-site car rental agencies at Ottawa Int'l Airport (YOW). Directions - South on Highway 416, and west on Highway 401.
 
By Train: The train, operated by Via Rail, departs from Fallowfield Station, located 14 km from Ottawa Int'l Airport (YOW), multiple times per day. There is no free direct service to Fallowfield Station from the Ottawa Airport, you can take a taxi or OC Transpo (public transit).
From Syracuse, NY
By Bus: Shuttle Kingston offers a shuttle service that operates to and from the Kingston and Syracuse Airports and Amtrak. It is a on demand service with a schedule twice a day.
 
By Car: It takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes (about 215 km) to drive from Syracuse to Kingston. There are five on-site car rental agencies at Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR). Directions - North on I-81 to the border of Canada, then west on Thousand Islands Bridge to Highway 401, then west on Highway 401.

Getting to Chernoff Hall

By Car

Directions: Follow Highway 401 to Kingston and exit south on Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard (exit 615). Follow this street south to Union Street, which is at the eighth set of traffic lights. Turn left onto Union and continue for approximately 10 blocks to the Queen's Campus.

Visitor Parking: Parking for visitors to the Main Campus is available in the underground Parking Garage (corner of University Avenue and Stuart Street), the Queen's Centre underground Parking Garage (entrance off Division Street) as well as pay and display parking areas (indicated by a P on the map below). The City of Kingston also offers on-street metered parking around campus.

By Kingston Transit

The Kingston Transit Bus System has bus stops are located across campus (indicated on the map below). You can use Kingston Transit's Trip Planner tool to plan your bus trip door to door. Please note that there is no bus route from the Kingston Airport.
