IPEM (New Initiative for Photonic and Electronic Materials) is a CFI-funded laboratory that focuses on the characterization and preparation of new materials used in electronic and photonic device manufacture. Examples of such materials include blue light emitting devices, ferroelectric liquid crystal materials, novel fluorescence-based sensors and amorphous chalcogenide-based semiconductors.
Members of the IPEM group include Drs. Bob Lemieux (group leader), Suning Wang, Stephen Brown, Hugh Horton and Paul Rochon (RMC).
