Glassware repair and fabrication Instructions for submitting work order for Chemistry Department only: (1) Complete a work order form: Submit the SCP work order form (link below). (2) Pack the glassware that you want to repair. The store will not be responsible for any damage done to your glassware during shipping. Make sure you pack it really well. Place one copy of the completed form inside the package and give one copy to Rob at the store for record keeping. (3) Before you pack the glassware, please clean it. If the glassware is dirty, SCP may clean it for you but you have to pay for the time they spend. (4)Mondays are shipping days please have in Stores prior to 10 am. (4) SCP will provide an estimate if needed. Please send a photo of the item for repair to glassblowing@scpscience.com and request an estimate (labour and parts). Keep in mind that the department will cover 50% of the labour cost. (5) Leak test: If you want SCP to do a leak test on the glassware, please indicate so on the order form. (6) Charge: Labor: regular glass, $85/hr; quartz glass, $135/hr Departmental subsidies: 50% on labor charge, up to $45/hr for regular glass and $65 quartz work.
